Surgicount Medical, Inc., Featured on Discovery Health Channel's Special Report on Patient Safety

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Franklin Capital Corporation announced that SurgiCount Medical, Inc.'s new Safety-Sponge™ System will be highlighted on the Discovery Health Network during the month of February. As previously announced, the company and SurgiCount Medical, Inc. have entered into a definitive agreement containing the terms and conditions upon which, subject to the satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions, SurgiCount will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
