Owens & Minor to Acquire The Burrows Co. for $30 Million

RICHMOND, Va. — Owens & Minor Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets and liabilities of The Burrows Co. of Wheeling, Ill., a privately-held distributor of medical and surgical supplies to the acute care market. Owens & Minor will pay $30.2 million for the net assets of the company and will assume its debt. The final purchase price will be subject to certain post-closing adjustments.  

For the year ended Dec. 31, 2007, The Burrows Co reported revenue of $603 million. The acquisition, which will close in fall 2008, is expected to be slightly dilutive to Owens & Minor's earnings for the remainder of 2008.
