Washington's Oldest Surgery Center To Close

Thirty-one year old Olympic Ambulatory Surgery Center in Washington state will close its doors on Friday as it has been conquered by the competition.

The center is Washington’s oldest, yet its age is what hinder the center. As new centers constantly sprang up, Olympic became a small fish in a sea of many.

According to the Kitsap (Wash.) Sun, the number of same-day centers outweight the number of patients that can fill them.

The Web site said Olympic is part of a national closure trend that continues to rise.
